I believe that unlocking your relationship with your dog is the greatest way to train. You learn together, you grow together and you succeed together.

I can get you and your dog on the same page, teach you to work together to achieve new things and show you how to enjoy each other’s company again! With teamwork, clear communication and a whole lotta fun, we can help your dog improve their obedience, modify some of their ‘less than desirable’ behaviour and teach them some fancy new tricks.

Behaviour training - Some dogs behave in a way that doesn't make their owners too happy (jumping, pulling on lead, digging, barking). The thing to remember is that dog behaviour is just that - behaviour. In the dog's mind, it's not good or bad, polite or naughty but just the way they behave to cope with the world or to get what they want. The trick is to teach them new strategies that get them what they want but also keep their owners happy (or at least don't drive them mad!) In a private training session, I can assess your dog's behaviour, make a training plan and we can work to bring harmony back into your household and improve your relationship with your dog.

Skills training - My dog Murphy and I love our obedience training, trick training, scent detection and dog sports and they are great ways to strengthen our bond and have fun. When we are training, the joy of watching Murphy 'light up' when he gets a new skill right is so rewarding. The skills Murphy knows make our life so much easier - a 'sit' at doors and before roads, a 'settle' on a mat beneath a café table, a 'heel' when we are walking by distractions, a 'drop' when we are meeting people so his height isn't so intimidating, a 'crate up' when it's time for sleep or when new guests are coming to visit and plenty of tricks to show off to our friends ('bow', high five', 'paws up', 'ring toss', 'circle', 'go around, 'back', 'rollover', 'sit pretty', 'search' and the list goes on!). I am also incredibly comforted knowing that that a good recall and a solid stay will help keep Murphy safe.
